Yeah I thought it did a really good job of educating people about some of the different types of sharks and little known things about their personalities while also talking about the sad stuff like the huge damage and horror that finning is. I really need to watch the megamouth special though! I was too distracted by all the thresher tail whips and attempts to show footage of two different sharks and pass it off as the same one
Yeah, they did a GREAT JOB! And like, okay, they still totally played up the “IF THIS CAGE SYSTEM FAILS, THIS GUY IS GONNA GET ATE” thing, and that’s something they need to work on, but they actually opened the week with a program that was ALL about showing people being stupid around sharks and explaining how sharks aren’t playthings and that’s the reality of how people get bitten. It was great, especially since a TON of people probably saw it and learned some really important stuff, right out of Peter Benchley’s and other shark experts’ research.AND YES MAN THE MEGAMOUTH IT IS SO PUDGY. They talk about how slow and flabby it is and yet it’s probably the most primitive species of shark and UGH IT’S SO WONDERFUL AND MAJESTIC. You must see it!!! Do you know if there’s a place to watch the shark shows after they’ve already aired?
