Prompt: Coffeeshop - not AU, sorry!

Summary: On a cold winter day, Sarah and Bucky talk about finding joy in the past and present. (920 words, rated G)

Sarah isn’t one for fancy coffee, but Alfonso is a friend, and he always talks up her boat charter business to his cafe customers, so she orders a selection of pan dulce along with her single shot of espresso.  If she and Bucky don’t finish the sweets, the boys will scarf them down for dessert.

Bucky arrives a minute later with his collar turned up and cutting a nice line across his jaw, and after stopping by Sarah’s table for a quick kiss, he goes up to the counter to order.  “Sam and Joaquín are definitely seeing each other, right?” he asks as he slides into the booth beside her with a drink that’s mostly whipped cream.  “They’re always posting pictures at the same locations about a minute apart.”

Sarah chuckles.  Bucky is and has been incurably nosy, but he’s even more of a gossip now that he’s finally learned how to use social media.  “Sam probably hasn’t told us because he thinks we’re going to tease him.”

I am not even a huge Reylo shipper, but it was like, either you redeem him or you don’t at all. If Han and Leia BOTH sacrificed themselves to keep Ben alive WTF was that sacrifice for!!!!! I know you had another commenter make that same comment. Or if both Ben and Rey had both died to save the world, that would make sad narrative sense. They totally screwed up Finn’s narrative too, and dropped Rose altogether. And why did Poe need some rando love interest exactly? Sigh

Yeah this is something I have been thinking about -- why even have a sweet, soft Reylo moment if you were just gonna kill him off and have her end up alone?? Either go all in or don't at all.

I just saw it. I went in ready to forgive a LOT of plot issues they would have to deal with since Carrie Fisher died. But…I didn’t like it. It was bad, right? Still can’t figure it out but I am pretty sure there was no satisfaction to be had by the end. Am I wrong? Do I just have my hyper shipping goggles on?
