I’ve had Matt Reilly’s Two Lost Mountains since like... November (2020) but haven’t had the motivation to reread the series so I can read the new one... (since it’s been..what? Two years since Three Secret Cities??)
but now in a mad sprint before I have to go on rural placement for uni, I’ve been rereading the series the past 4 days? I got done with Five Greatest Warriors and Four Legendary Kingdoms by not doing anything but reading all day today XD
I don’t have these books in digital, hence the mad rush so I don’t have to lug 6 books to my home stay for three weeks, NOR do I have to pause on reading bc I don’t have access to the books...
But anyway, Four Legendary Kingdoms basically starts off a second four-part story arc within the greater storyline... but damn if it doesn’t just read like a tournament arc fanfic between Matthew Reilly’s two greatest heroes: Jack West Jr and Shane Schofield...

I’m so goddamn hyped... I’ve made a post on this epic crossover before and it still sends me into a fit of fangirl squee... the biggest shame is I don’t remember the Scarecrow series as much anymore (like who tf is the Majestic-12?!??) so that’s next on my list of rereads (if upcoming uni gives me any chance to do so >_<)..
BUT YEAH NOW INSTEAD OF SIX BOOKS I CAN BRING TWO BABEYYY
Sidenote: my ship for Alby and Lily is once again REVIVEDDDDD (not looking forward to the twins deaths tho... I remember being suuuuper bummed out the first time I read that)
