Imagine leaving your hometown to protect it by becoming a Werewolf Hunter, only to return five years later and you suddenly learn that two of your childhood friends are now dating. On top of that, they've been acting weird and distant, secretive about it. If you're Chrollo, you're trying to maintain a stoic, calm demeanor while being deeply concerned for Shalnark, whose attitude has almost reverted to before you two were friends. And that you feel like your man was stolen from you but in a no homo kind of way. Bruh, could you imagine if I wrote the werewolf fic from exclusively Chrollo's and Feitan's perspective? (Shal would prob be really annoying for the readers if you didn't see his perspective constantly lmao)

I think one of the reasons I love "villain x villain" dynamics so much is that they offer a strange kind of comfort, a satisfaction in seeing the most horrible, fucked-up beyond imagination people find the love of their lives, appreciated and desired for exactly what they are.
I also enjoy "villain x hero" ships (not all of them, but when done right), but "two villains in love" just hits harder. It’s "us against the world", and "I will not hesitate to set it on fire to keep you warm" rather than "you need to change so the world I love can accept you".

Kurapika, an angel who has existed for roughly four years, can not remember anything from his past life. No angel can. There was an unspoken rule among the angels that one must never seek out one's former human life. Otherwise, they risk falling.
After attending the funeral of his former assigned mortal, Kurapika, was assigned a new human to look after. A seventeen-year-old girl named Alluka—who lived with her brother and his boyfriend. Along with a brand new devil, Chrollo, someone who suspiciously wants nothing to do with him.
As Kurapika observes and learns more about Alluka and her life, he soon becomes faced with a predicament—the horror that she's somewhat connected to his former human life. Among Teeth & Brimstones Summary: Meteor Grove, a large but isolated village, surrounded by endless forest is plagued with many misfortunes. Resources, criminals, but worse of all, there is a werewolf crisis. So many children were found dead with their necks nearly bitten off was a monthly occurrence. However, those who survived... well... Truth to be told, no one knew. Every kid who's been bitten has been taken away. Sarasa, a young girl who survived a werewolf attack only to be taken away was the final straw for the Troupe. Half of them became trained by a famous Werewolf Hunter, Renko for five years while the rest stayed in the village.
Things took a turn when Phinks was bitten, with Shalnark being his only witness. Fearful of Phinks sharing the same fate as Sarasa; Phinks and Shalnark decided to keep this secret between them. Trying to find a cure while keeping their friends protected in the dark. Unfortunately, their sudden change of behavior was misread by everyone else, and now... Feitan and Chrollo come home finding themselves in unexpected romantic drama.
