After seeing so many post of these amazing shakes in Canberra, I was determine to find one in Melbourne. Johnny Pump was the first one to pop up on my Instagram. This place was still fairly new and didn't have many reviews so I was willing to give it a go.
We went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and the place didn't look very busy however when we asked for a table we were told that there would be a 30min wait, which we don't mind however we were not able to put down our names and was asked to come back.
We returned 30mins later and there were still no tables, after a further 5-10 mins wait at the door we were given an indoor table, to our surprise the seats in the back of the café was not full at all! There were many tables that are waiting to be cleared but definitely not a full café. Took a very long time for us to place our orders, even after we asked twice and got turned down. Our drinks were forgotten and we didn't get given any cutlery when our foods arrived they were definitely under staff,.
Never the less, the food that arrived at our table was very tasty and fresh, they did not stinge on the chorizo which is always a bonus and the flavours were lovely. Shakes were well presented however the flavour is nothing outstanding but the banana bread was a bonus - a little dessert after our meals.
Overall this place is a nice little café in Essendon and the staff were nice, just weren't able to handle the 'busy' periods, I would like to return in a few months and give it another go.

This is my dinner. It is also the most epic salad I have had in a while. It is a mix of 1 and 1/4cup each of cabbage, Kale, and romain lettuce.carrots, green onions, low fat white cheddar, whole wheat baked tortilla strips. It makes about three servings. I put my own homemade chipotle dressing. 1/2 cup light mayo, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1tbs lime juice, 1tbs cilantro, 1tbs vinegar, 1tsp chipotle pepper sauce, 1/2 tsp minced onions, 1/2 tsp garlic powder. For more protein I added gardein's mandarin chicken however I did not use the sauce it comes with. Grand total calorie count 270 calories!!!
