People do know that waiting was Magnus' decision right?? HE wanted to wait until their marriage could be fully recognized by the law. Why don't people see this? Or care? Just cuz its book malec and obviously its not as good as show malec? If you realized what it meant for them in the books you would see why some book stans are pissed.

look, the books are not well-written, that's a fact. they might be entertaining (ymmv), but they're just not that good, and the malec content is sparse at best. and did the showrunners cotton onto the fact that malec was their cash cow and exploit the hell out of it? of *course* they did, that's *showbusiness,* but the point is that they *did* run with it, as far as they could in the limited time they were allotted. pandering, yes, but also beautiful, loving lgbt mixed-race rep on mainstream tv!
