As the massive Moonblast descended upon the warped Dusknoir, it let out one last distorted screech before being enveloped in the pale light. A resounding boom went off as the ground trembled from the resulting explosion. Aurora let out a squeal of glee as the ground peppered around her, only to stop as a tidal wave of rancid meat and blackened ichor showered the poor Hatterene. The tall mage stood silently in place. Her face frozen with her trademark smile as her eyes twitched. â... Huh, didnât expect that to happenâ, Lichi remarked, personally glad herself that she kept her distance when the attack went off. âWe were supposed to bring that rotten bitch back to jail. But I didnât think sheâd explode like thatâ, the Lilligant mused, scratching the back of her head anxiously as she felt like Arcadia would chew them out for this big time. Surveying the carnage, the grass typeâs face wrinkled with disgust as the bits and pieces of the ghost still wriggled and writhed, as if still filled with life. âCâmon, Aurora, letâs get out of here and hope the higher ups donât get too pissed off at usâ, Lichi grunted, turning her attention back to Aurora, who seemed to be shaking on the spot.
âAurora? I know getting sprayed with ghost gunk is gross, but weâll just wash you off back at the town... Aurora?â, Lichi tilted her head to the side. Staring at Aurora for a moment before walking up to her. The Hattereneâs shaking grew more intense as Lichi cautiously circled around Aurora to get a better at her face. But as Lichi came to Auroraâs front side, her pupils dilated. Auroraâs face was frozen in her smile, tears dripping down her face as her spasm grew worse. Her pale skin began to darken, blackened veins stretching and rising to the surface as her once starlit eyes became more ghastly and ominous. A crimson eye replacing Auroraâs right, an eye that Lichi was all too familiar with. Before the leafy rogue could spring into action, Auroraâs hair hand suddenly lifted up, pointing a finger at the side of Auroraâs head. âAh, ah, ah, one more step and I blow her pretty pink brains all over the ground. And we wouldnât want that now, would weâ, Aurora suddenly cackled, her face caught between a mix of fear and malice. âNow, where were we? Ah, right, something about this being easy? Go ahead, take your best shot~â
