Plot Drop #3: The Siren on French Broad
There in the water
Can’t you see, can’t you see
In the midst of the darkness, a voice is heard. Ringing over the panic in the air and causing anyone who made their way down to Elm Street, the Trails, or the Pier to freeze in their place.
The song is melodic and, yet, deafening, causing almost everyone in the area turn. People heard together at the water front, throwing themselves in one by one. It is unclear what is happening and the few who haven’t been affected by the spell, try their bests to stop the others from diving in. But, the song is too strong.
Screams began to echo around them as harpies and sirens lose control. It is utter chaos, between the splashing and the cries out in pain. But, then, as if on cue, the mist rolls in and a figure slowly walks out. Is it her? Are the myths and legends real? But, as the person with the terrifyingly captivating voice steps foot on land, it’s clear that he is a man. He has a government issued tattoo carved into his shoulder that looks illuminated against his skin underneath the night sky and one look into his eyes sends chills down your spine.
This is our THIRD PLOT DROP for our Halloween event. And the reveal of our… *drum roll please*… Temporary Villains!
Two mysterious newcomers drifted into town just in time for the event. Not much is known about them.
Our villain posed as the Ghost in the reenactment and is a siren named Logan Delaney who has also been set by Hamlin group and seems to be a solider under the United States Government.
PLEASE FOLLOW SKYLAR HERE IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY:
For any character who made their way down to Elm Street, the Trails, or the Pier to watch the Ghost in the Halloween Water show, it quickly becomes clear that Logan is not your average Siren.
Humans: Any human in the area is not affected by his songs or powers in the least.
Supernaturals: But, for every supernatural, his song is much stronger than that of a typical siren, reaching farther distances and putting a spell on anyone in the nearby area to fling themselves into the water. (Note: He’s just making them jump in the water, piling on top of each other. So, your character doesn’t have to be drowning. They can just get wet if you want them too. But, if you do want your character to get injured in the chaos or have to be rescued from drowning, it’s totally fine, but please send a message to the main first to let us know).
Sirens and Harpies: For any Siren or Harpy in the nearby area, his song WILL NOT cause your character to want to throw themselves in the water, but instead, will cause them to have a sharp headache for a a few seconds and then will result in them loosing all control of their abilities for the next couple hours. Again, if you want them to hurt anyone, get hurt, etc. please just message the main first.
These two temporarily villains will be in play for the rest of the week, but only Skylar can interact, so please feel free to reach out to Skylar (HERE) for interactions. After the event ends, they will continue wrapping up a few event related threads before their and James’ accounts becoming inactive. Posting or responding to starters regarding this plot drop is not mandatory, but encouraged. We hope you guys plot together to come up with some unique and fun threads. Why doesn’t Logan’s song work on humans? Why is Skylar doing all of this? Are people who you thought were human, actually not? And in the chaos of the power outage and the water front, what will you do? Are you a siren or harpy whose powers be acting up? Are you trying to protect yourself from all the supernaturals running amuck? Are you a hunter utilizing the chaos to your advantage? Are you a werewolf trying to take advantage of or deal with the fact that an alpha has just been overthrown? Or are you a supernatural throwing yourself into the water or just trying to help?
In the gameplay, this plot drop happened at 2 a.m. on Day Three.
