Harper eventually stumbles upon him and befriends him — she's looking to make a genuine friend after her break-up with Dirk, and her reputation as "screaming toxic girlfriend" means that she's avoided a lot by the others around the house. She befriends Skips' Shadowlord persona first, enjoying his company and the fact that she has to be the one seeking him out first as a result of him unable to move elsewhere outside his shadow. Shadowlord is just elated to have someone who enjoys his presence.

When Skips eventually reveals his true form to Harper, she's through the goddamn roof. Holy shit, that cute cool ass shadow monster she got to be friends with turned out to be an even cuter guy who is exactly her type?! Bangs for days, nervous and shy demeanor, and someone who genuinely likes her for who she is and doesn't want her to ever leave? Sign her up!

Above all else, Harper gets to decide what to do this time! That means she gets to take Skips on dates around the house and show him off to the other objects. But wouldn't he disappear if he came into the light? Not to worry, because Harper has an empty hamper on her back she's carrying 24/7 now! (No longer weighed down by dirty laundry, that's for sure). This way, Skips is able to hitch a ride in her hamper with the lid covered all while still being protected against the light. He gets to explore the house while still hiding in the shadows, and Harper's just proud to string her new boyfriend along and take him any place he wants.

Well number one, Skips is a words guy. At least more words than Dirk ever was. He tries to prolong his time with Harper just so he can get her to stay in his bed for as long as possible. He showers her in compliments and praise because she never got enough of that in her past relationships. It makes Harper melt and coo and she can't help but give Skips what he wants when he says things like that.

He also DOES NOT RUSH. I've mentioned Skips' weak pull out game three times now but that's because he tries to go slowly so that he doesn't shoot off immediately and after he cums each time, he just sinks into her and never lets go. Hear me out on this! Shortly after Harper and Dirk break up, Harper explores the house, trying to find herself again and make friends and proper connections with others. It doesn't go as well as she thought, what with nearly everyone else knowing about her explosive attitude and toxic personality on account of arguing with Dirk every night and day. Defeated, she goes to sit in a corner of the house near the globe and stumbles upon Shadowlord.

Harper ends up confiding in him in hopes of making a friend, meanwhile Shadowlord listens attentively, hearing her out fully, knowing just how hard it is to move on after something like this. Harper recovers and improves as a person, allowing herself to be a better version of herself, while Shadowlord makes a new friend out of Harper, eventually opening up to her about his past and his true self — Skips. Eventually, after a while of getting to know one another, they fall in love.

That doesn't stop Skips from begging her to call him Skippy though. He really really wants her to call him Skippy but she's adamant on not using that nickname. She'd rather call him xxXShadowl0rd420Xxx in the middle of making out before ever calling him Skippy. Truthfully, she just thinks Skips' real name is super cute and prefers to call him that.

Anyway speaking of shadowhamper I feel like Harper actually WOULD, mostly because she's an all or nothing kind of girl. She won't do smth she doesn't trust but she will put her whole pussy into it no matter what. So yes she will be pulling out the box hair dye and dyeing her roots black, dolling herself up with heavy dark eyeshadow and black lipstick and changing her entire wardrobe to black apparel only. She's that committed.

I do not think Skips would even ask her to do all that though, if anything she probably chose to change herself like that thinking he'd like her better that way, only for him to freak out (and then gush) that Harper changed her entire look just for him. He likes her for her, wouldn't change a single thing (though he does ask her to keep the black lipstick just cus he likes seeing black kiss marks all over his skin).

As for age. Oh my god I never thought of this. My age headcanon for Harper is probably like early 20s (specifically 22) but Skips is. Hm. I at first thought early to mid 20s too but his voicelines make him sound so much older (like asking if you knew old online chatrooms). God he might just look like he's perpetually stuck in 2007 though.
