▼ daytime shadow △ ~ Baekhyun // Hongbin
Warmth. The sun is warm upon his skin, makes his dark hair gleam with vividness as he hurries down the main streets of the city he called his home. He barely had to keep track of his feet during daytime, always trusting that other people would move out of the way and he did so without even thinking. It was just part of his personality he assumed, when the thought actually occurred to him. After that it had been shaken off and left in the gutter as he continued to rush forward. Just like every other stressed individual hurrying along the curb, to whatever destination they may have. Hopefully their reasons were better than Baekhyun's own. Not that his was bad, it was merely the fact that he really had nothing he was supposed t do that made him hurry so. I just wanted to go home, get back to his personal little space and his personal little life. Without the disturbance of anyone around him. It was one of those days; when he felt more useless than anything.
It always ate away at him — like fire eats away at charred pieces of wood —and at the day's end he'd be nothing but a pile of ashes that he needed to be brought out of. If he didn't get it done the second it happened, the second his breakdown reached its final point, he'd be gone for days, he'd lock himself up and do nothing until it passed, until time put band aids upon constantly reopened wounds. It was a struggle, from time to time. Monthly, weekly, daily. It all depended on things moved forward. If his equipment worked or not, if he remembered to charge his batteries, if he got the right question in class, if he answered correctly; in the manner his teacher wished him to. All of these things played their own part in the circle called Byun Baekhyun's life and they all had their own meaning. It was what made things difficult. The balance was so fragile and the smallest thing just made it collapse. So, it was one of those days, when Baekhyun just wanted to go away.
His feet led him in the direction his mind didn't bother to control, shortcuts and turns taken, that he barely remembered himself knowing but of course no mind was paid to it. At least not until he turned into another alleyway, eyes till not where they should be and sooner rather than later, he did bump into someone and it threw him off course. He stumbled backwards, eyes growing wide as he practically stared at the one standing before him, head lowered still, meaning all he saw was a couple of long limbs. The male was obviously taller than him, making Baekhyun feel inferior from the start, shoulders hunching down as he looked up at the other with and apologetic little smile. "I- I am so sorry."
