Heyo guys! So this weekend, I'm running a booth with @bluejayblueskies for InvictusCon! We're selling Malevolent themed journals as a joint (art by myself, and lovely bindings by Jay) effort before donating proceeds to a charity, which you can find on Jay's blog if you're interested.
The fun part is I will also be setting prints and stickers! I have two prints of the fronts of two of the journals for sale, as well as an exclusive sticker bunch! They'll be for sale throughout the weekend, or until sold out in the case of the options that are not pre-order!
Along with that, I'm also taking tips on Ko-Fi if you aren't able/don't want to buy a print, journal, or stickers! If you send in a tip, I can and will doodle a Malevolent request for you (as long as it's sfw and appropriate)!

This one is a sad one! It's basically 'Arthur's relationship with alcohol: The fic'
Arthur sits in the humid confessional booth and focuses on his anger, trusting it to steel his nerves. It's an unwieldy thing, too big to fit inside of his body. It is the best weapon he has. He thinks of Corbin's dark eyes, and the welts on the back of his hands and wrists. He thinks of his father slurring, "Grow a spine." "I have a confession," he says. His voice comes out as tight as a coiled spring. But he's not afraid of what's to come; not anymore. "I'm the one who stole the communion wine."
It goes into his parents' alcoholism and how that shaped him, his childhood/young adulthood (& speculation as to what the hell happened with Arthur re: custody after his parents died - I decided he had to live in an orphanage for a while before a relative could move to the US & take custody of him, which is how he is still able to learn piano & be in touch with a family friend while also having shitty priest baggage), the cultural stuff that would shape Arthur's relationship with alcohol (and other drugs), the way his parents affected Arthur's own parenting, and finally his descent into alcoholism after Faroe dies. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to include my speculation for post-canon or his sobriety journey with Parker (mostly bc this fic has already got LEGS), but yeah. SAD TIMES.
