Out of all the various times and ways characters said that Nox wanted to die last episode, this in particular really hit. It feels like a confirmation that every single time he's talked about hating CODE, the darkness within CODE, wanting to destroy CODE, this was the unspoken addendum at the end. He was always including himself alongside it. After all, he was part of CODE, the rot's spread to him even if he's been cut from the tree. What other way could he atone? If CODE goes, and it has to, he has to go with it.
Also, Shadow turning into a reflection of him was so good and I hope they do more like this. Please please please
TIL the Shadow Nightmare actually has some eyes that are red as well as blue. More matching with the Bomb Nightmare I'm just saying
