Ok I need to ask
does anyone else notice how similar the shadow behemoth looks to a certain time anomaly-making sonic villain

The Shadow Behemoth and the Shatterer
Sponsored by ArenaNet
Swamps in Guild Wars 2 are something else! I've never really loved swamp settings in other games, but I have yet to dislike any in Tyria. Plus Shadow Behemoth was my first world boss :) As a noob coming from other MMOs, my first time seeing that giant crowd to fight the big bad... it was so cool. S tier (ą·ĖįµĖą·)ā”
Who Da Boss?
1. Shadow Behemoth
2. Zohaqan
3. Inquest Golem Mark II
4. Mouth of Mordremoth ft. Kit Strayblade
5. Tequatl ft. Spoilt Victoria
6. Claw of Jormag
OK GUYS I might have found something new to add to the mystery.. so I play a necro (not sure if important) and I went to do the Shadow Behemoth. As you know, these mysterious skeletons have been spawning near the boss recently. I stood next to one as the boss died and all the skeletons died at the same time too. I got this glittering effect on my character! It leaves a trail when running. Thereās no boon or buff or anything to tell what it is. I assume itās related to the skeletonsĀ ācause Iāve never seen it before. I tired catching the mysterious spirit with my mount but couldnāt quite catch it before it disappeared so I donāt know if the effect lets you talk to it or anything. Also nothing new when IĀ ātalkedā to the corpse.
The effect disappeared when I waypointed out of the map.

Defeat the Shadow Behemoth!
In happier news, Iāve been playing Guild Wars 2. I like this world boss.
It seems that there have been some strange goings-on in Godslost Swamp as of late.
That would hardly be news on itās own, as this literally godforsaken Krytan swamp, which is the site of the sunken ruins of a prominent ancient temple to the human gods, is frequently torn by portals to the Underworld which issue forth shadowy, demonic entities.
Recently, however; multiple confirmed sightings of a mysterious red spirit have been reported by eagle-eyed Tyrians who apparently enjoy frolicking in dank, noisome, demon-infested swamps.
The activity of this red specter has led to the discovery of a fresh, human corpse, the apparent victim of a grisly murder.
According to amateur necromantic crime scene investigators (probably not that one), the body belongs to a priest of Grenth, a necromancer himself, who was apparently attempting to answer some otherworldly (or Underworldly) ācallā when he was suddenly struck multiple blows by multiple swords and axes wielded by multiple undead skeletons. (Necromancers can read a lot from a corpse, apparently. I donāt envy them.)
But listen, Tyria. This Underworld business is nothing to worry about. Demons arenāt that different from ghosts, and if ghosts are your problem, you already know who to callā¦
The Iron Legion.
Simply put, the charr eat ghosts for breakfast, figuratively and only occasionally literally.
With all thatās happened lately; I posit that the tenuous layer of fabric separating our reality from the endless fractal potential realities of the Mists is wearing quite thin, specifically where it pertains to the former realm of Grenth, the human god of death; the Underworld. Weāll be able to investigate further very soon; in just two weeks, in fact.
Meanwhile, Iāve taken something of a sabbatical from weird science investigation this week, as Iāve been rescuing abandoned griffon eggs in the Crystal Desert for entirely selfless charitable reasons.
Save the griffons! Glory to the Sunspears! Praise Kormir! (By the Alchemy, I will have that griffon mount.)
~ Izzit Rinspark is a curious asura. He is an Iron Legion trained engineer, not a necromancer, and thus has a valid and unbiased opinion of how best to deal with otherworldly threats
