Then I remembered I thought he was a creep and she should be scared of him and the control he’s taken of her life and now look at me… got me brain washed.

He seems to have relaxed a little around reader, perhaps it’s because he has her in his space and so he’s less intense?

I guess it helps that since the attack she is shall we say growing closer to him or more a case of she doesn’t have anyone else because of him and she needs comfort after the trauma she has been through.

I can’t begin to imagine how pleased he is that she’s sleeping beside him at night, in his bed, and more recently in his arms.

He’s giving her a little more with each part as in easing up slightly and I just feel it’s killing him to lose control, even just a bit and with anything but especially you because this man is all about seeing things go his way right?

I guess meddling with her parents finances helped with his control issues, I could totally see him marrying her and sending a wedding announcement to her parents along with a “don’t ever contact my wife again”

Honestly it’s crazy of him, but every move he makes is like playing chess it’s strategic, thought out and easily 3 steps ahead of everyone else.

I do love the story especially when she forgot herself in the fitting room of the boutique with him I was so feeling a sort of way like “she just gives in like that?” and then in the next breath she’s storming out with a single dress and is so done, but before the chapter is out she’s back in there… like the utter mind fuck that is Bucky Barnes poor girl!

I really feel for this reader and anything she does I don't see as her easily giving in so far. I see it as a combination of her being afraid and him very much wearing her down because she has had virtually no breathing room. As you said in that chapter alone, she's worn down a bit, shows a bit of that fire, and Bucky finds a way to put the fire out for the time being. It's insane!
