One of them recently got tinder. He is not the thinnest guy, but who cares right? I am not thin myself, but body positivity is a thing and I am not unhealthy and I work out a lot. I am just not thin. We should love our bodies in all shapes and sizes. All people can't be as healthy as each other, there are so many reasons people look a certain way, so why judge? But this male friend of mine, he tells us that some of tinder guys' matches were, according to both men, 'fat, ugly or freaks' just based on their pictures. Me and my best friend tell him that's wrong to say my dude. He gets mad. We get mad. Things were said, I told him I get sad because of my own bodily issues and he just answers "I don't mean people who look like you". Yikes. He tells us we're sensitive and stupid, and that we in that case don't get to speak badly about anyone ever again.

I talk to my mum about it. She tells me I get mad to easily and that I just have to let him be, ignore statements like that because he is just behaving "stereotypically for men in his age". So my question is:

Should behaviour like that just be ignored for the sake of friendship, or should we be allowed to express our opinions on the matter? I honestly don't know what to do, and I'm feeling very sad about it. He does this a lot, that man. He has some strong opinions and whenever our opinions clash, he tells me I'm stupid and wrong. Am I? He called me a cock sucker once, just to be mean. I have never sucked a cock in my life, if you were interested. I cried. He never said he was sorry.
