sewing friends I need your help!
I’m SO into those cute lil tortoise cozies making their rounds on etsy and I would LOVE one for mine, but I would also love it if I could sew a little laminated sleeve into it so I can display my info on his shell if he ever zooms off.
MY QUESTION IS what’s that laminated sleeve called? or what’s the process of sewing one on called? how do I go about this??
Terms I’ve been using wrong #1:
Term:
Facing =Â A facing is the area of a garment or sewn item that turns to the inside, giving a finished appearance to what would otherwise just be a raw edge of fabric. The facing is usually interfaced to add shape to the edge of the fabric and help the garment maintain the desired shape. Learn more here.
What I meant:
Outer layer of garment.
