Turns out the best way to get sewing supplies is telling people that you sew. You'll get all sorts of "I just had this lying around" kind of fabric, needles.... Or in my case and entire sewing machine?!?!?
The machine is new and barely used but because of back problems the owner can't use it anymore so I get it for free and it's a singer, so good a pretty good one as well
