Willa Henley, president of the Key West Womanâs Club. There she was, dressed in a full length, glorious dress, airy and beautiful, large earrings as she smiled at the whoâs who of Key West, making polite, elegant chit chat with who she knew she had to get money from. It was all going according to plan, until she picked up a smoked salmon puff and it wasnât exactly cooked the way she liked.Â
Using her perfectly manicured finger, she called over in her elegant British accent to a server, and with that sugar sweet smile and an arched eyebrow, she sighed. âDarling. Darling. Look at this and tell me if this salmon puff is golden brown. Is it?â The poor waiter didnât even get a chance to answer before Willa, in her glory, leaned forward and accidentally bumped into the waiter, making them spill the rest of the puffs on the ground.Â
âOh, darling,â She tsked. âYou better go back to the kitchen, shouldnât you? Get them right, because I put quite a lot of work into this event, didnât I? Iâll see you soon.â She smiled, shrugging, turning back to the rest of the crowd with a smile. âOops. A mistake done by the staff. It happens.âÂ
