You guys it's so hard to make your character be mean to Setsu 😭😭😭💔 but I love this concept of two people who don't like each other getting stuck in a time loop. Sorry Setsu, no strong emotional bond with the main character... for now. Nil starts to slowly open up to them but it takes her WAY longer to do that, since Nil can't just let go of her hatred for anyone related to military forces
Setsu arrives home at Cerise's home on Dusteis and Cerise has to learn a thing or two, about assuming.

"Welcome home!", Cerise stated happily, as she opened the door for Setsu. The soldier glanced at the interior, the windows closed down, the light dim and the interior itself being rather spacious. Cerise wasted no time, in showing the soldier around. There was a couch in the middle of the room with a massive TV and a game console, along with an open door on the right leading to a small kitchen. The one on the left featured a massive bed, which fit Cerise's massive frame perfectly, and also a bathroom with a shower was placed there too.
"Isn't this adorable?", Cerise asked Setsu, who nodded and stretched their sore muscles.
"I suppose, it is. Especially the many plushies.", Setsu replied with a smile, as they glanced to the many plushies on the bed. Featuring a bunny, a chinchilla, a seal and a wolf.
"Heh, thanks!", the barrista replied and then let herself fall on the bed, then patted the space next to her. "Cuddle time."
"Naturally. One moment, let me just..."
In a matter of seconds, Setsu had hung their coat across the door and then as they moved to Cerise, they suddenly stopped and began to sniff their armpit.
"Come to think of it...I think I need a shower. I haven't had one in 2 days, ever since the Gnosia arrived on the ship."
"Yikes. Yeah, this gal agrees. You are quite stinky.", the barista agreed, while holding her nose and then pushed her glasses down. "You can use my shower, to clean yourself up. Would you like me to open your suitcase in the meantime?"
"I do not mind.", Setsu answered and then turned towards the bathroom, entered it and then closed the door behind it. Cerise smiled simply and moved to the soldier's heavy purple suitcase and opened it up. Of course, she could allow the Dusteisian AI to do that for her, but she wanted to do it for Setsu. For keeping them safe during discussions. And for making her feel so warm, whenever they were around the barrista.
It didn't take long for Cerise to open the case and pick out a new clean purple shirt for the soldier, when she heard the door to the bathroom open and the soldier stepping outside.
"Can I have those purple shorts please?", they asked Cerise, water dripping onto the floor and their voice a bit hazy from all the showering. Without saying a word, Cerise tossed a pair of shorts at Setsu and judging by the satisfied hum they made, Setsu caught it.
"Thank you.", Cerise heard them reply. "You can turn around now."
"Okay....", Cerise replied a bit confused, adjusting her glasses. "But ya sure, you want me to stare at your-"
Cerise's words died in her throat, as she actually took a look at Setsu's upper body. It was certainly quite toned indeed. Not nearly as pronounced as Cerise's, but Setsu had wide shoulders, firm arms and noticeable abs. But what surprised Cerise the most was....
"Your...chest...", Cerise noted with a gasp, her glasses moving up.
"Hm? Is something wrong with my chest?", they asked unperturbed, which made the barista even more flustered.
"W..Well...no...but-"
"Did you expect a pair of breasts? I got rid of those a long time ago.", Setsu stated nonchalantly, as they stretched themselves, some remaining water droplets dropping onto the floor.
"Oh...I..see."
"You sound disappointed."
"N..No! Not disappointed, just..surprised is all, meow.", Cerise replied flustered and the soldier let out an exasperated sigh.
"Hm....I suppose my feminine features did make you assume I still had them.", they noted with a somber expression. "Even though I am not a woman."
"I...Sorry, okay?", Cerise replied guiltily and shook her head. "I know pannification is very common nowadays and I shoulda considered that. I am sorry.....Meow."
"It...is alright.", Setsu replied, their words softening as they glanced down. "I got rid of this, when I felt that my non-binary identity had actually worked out for me. At first, I simply adopted it, so that people would stop flirting with me. But as time went on, I began to feel more and more comfortable with the idea of not being perceived as any gender. So...I got rid of the most glaring issue. My chest. Because....well, I think I don't need to explain it."
"Yeah...", Cerise agreed, rubbing her own shoulder and her pink top moved a little down. "Shoulda considered that. Sorry...Ya still look very beautiful, Setsu."
"...Thanks.", the soldier said after a short pause, before shaking their head. "Just be more considerate in the future, Cerise. I know you mean no harm, but assuming someone having certain binary features isn't nice."
"I'll try, I promise. Mr. Bunny is witness.", Cerise promised, before suddenly holding up the bunny plushie and moving it around. "Cerise is a kind gal that will respect your boundaries and also happens to be very adorable and cute and buff!"
The sight of Cerise holding the plushie in front of her own face and moving it around, made Setsu laugh amused.
"Okay....I'll take your word Mr. Bunny.", Setsu played along, as they turned to the bed. "Well...shall we?"
Cerise grinned and put the bunny back to the other plushies, before finding herself moments later on the bed and feeling Setsu's warmth against their body. She planted a soft kiss on their hand, while Setsu stroked Cerise's hair.
"After we relax a little, can you make me some coffee with that dusteisian blend, you kept talking about?"
"Heh..sure!", Cerise replied with a smirk, as they leaned against the pillow. "Ya gotta try that with chocolate, so imma add a few of those into ya drink. Hopefully, my barista skills haven't taken a hit like my big muscles, after being busy with the whole Gnosia thingie."
"I'm sure you'll do fine.", Setsu affirmed to her and then lied down next to the musclebound barista, leaning their head against Cerise's shoulder, causing her to laugh softly in return.
Later on, Cerise would make her a Dusteisian Coffee. And it would be the best thing Setsu had ever tasted, in their entire life.

IMO: Setsu and the player's relationship in Gnosia is one of the best depictions of QPR
I replayed Gnosia for the second time a few weeks back, when it dawned on me. This is one of the best depictions of QPR I've ever seen in any fictional media.

In Gnosia, you play as an amnesiac person alongside Setsu, a non-binary soldier from Liu-An. Both of you are trapped inside some sort of time loop where Gnosia, enemies of humanity, are on the spaceship and you need to either find them or in some other loops, be a part of them. All to escape the loop.
The player and Setsu have such a strong bond there and even do activities together like fishing or watching movies. But the love the player and Setsu feel towards each other doesn't feel romantic. While there is some handholding, their intimacy is deep and more platonic to some extent. There is no kissing, no lovey dovey stuff or any elements you'd mostly associate with romance. Thats not to say QPRs can't have those elements, but in this very game their relationship just doesn't feel romantic.
Case in point, once you unlock all notes which you need to stop the loop, Setsu sacrifices themselves because they do not have as much info as you are. They go to another universe and you bid farewell as they are forgotten by everyone.
However, in the true ending, the player makes a new save file and reaches Setsu there. You both close the loop together, leading to the Image above.
Holding one's hand...when I held Setsu's I felt love. Not love in that we wanna kiss but more like the idea that we will always be together and that our relationship is truly something special. That our bond cant be shattered. That we'll always be there for each other and face anything together. Romantic relationships tend to be far more simple in that regard. Go on dates, kiss, make love and all that stuff. Setsu and the player do stuff together but it doesn't feel romantic. It simply is a bond that can't be explained or measured by normal standards.
That's why I love this relationship so much. Because it perfectly encapsulates Queerplatonic Romance at its core. Relationships that defy the norm yet exist and are very vivid. You can of course interpret the relationship between Setsu and the player as romantic if you'd like, but this is my personal interpretation.
