Well. So this time we did a bunch of fighting and only a little plot happened, but the plot that did happen was sad so let’s talk about it. So I hadn’t realized cyrus was dead? does the king realize this? like. was i just not paying attention or did robb not let anyone know or? bc if robb just didn’t tell anyone then. i get it but still bad call robb. the people deserve to know. especially when there is a better swordsman in the kingdom who can take the mantle of hero and murder magus for him. come on, robb.

i’m not sure why robb is so willing to just go back and kill magus. even with the sword that didn’t go so well last time. why is he so confident now that it’s possible? shouldn’t robb be all “well even with the sword we’ll still never be able to win”? i mean it’s nice that he isn’t bc we have magic now and therefore things are different and we’ll be able to win but still

btw how did the dead guy figure out the whole juggler defense thing when a) he doesn’t have access to magic and b) he’s relatively far away from any juggler? like thanks dead guy but i don’t understand how you exist(ed)

i was surprised that ayla stays back in her time period instead of coming wit you but maybe that will happen later

i would like to give major props to how many names are in this game that are five or less characters wow that’s impressive

and i still can’t get over/am curious about what would happen if i beat the ultimate boss early but. i’m not gonna do it so

today was a lot of finding the main plot, what with going to and from robb’s house many many times only to find out i have to go on a journey through time to actually convince robb to do stuff. jeez, robb, really what is your problem tho? you haven’t actually explained why you’re so depressed? i don’t understand maybe i could help you if you TALKED to me PLEASE

so yeah it was also a nice fight that i had with the sword

the thing about this game is that there’s really no way of knowing if magic is necessary or what is the best strategy here? so idk what i’m supposed to be doing at any given time (welcome to my problem with every video game ever tbh) but yeah. do i wanna use mp? will it help? do i wanna use a two-person combo move? will it actually work better than some other move? is just attacking ok? idk and idk how to find out but whatever

so yeah i used magic and beat up a sword and also a megazombie and then i went to some guy and he was like “no u want this really ancient rock and idk how i know it exists but you need it so have fun guys!” and i was like “thanks i will” and then i got cornerd by like seven reptiles (i sure as fun could have beat them up but marle and lucca were scared) and then ayla came and beat them up for me! woot! and then she was like “WOW I HAVE BARELY MET YOU BUT YOU’RE HOT STRONG and then Kino get’s jealous and steals our stuff and ayla’s like “we’re in an open relationship, aren’t we? didn’t we talk about this?” and kino’s like “...no?” and ayla’s like “...oops. can we talk about it later then after i’m done fighting alongside this hot strong boy and kissing him back to life?” and kino’s like “i mean i’m fine with an open relationship i just didn’t think we were in one so yeah that’s fine” and then we went off following footprints

i think i covered the plot well enough? not mentioned was the obscene amount of alcohol involved in the night that kino stole our stuff

i reallly don’t like how these people are portrayed? like giving them an actual language wouldn’t be that much to ask for, right? and yeah, it just. i realize that none of this is a reasonable portrayal of what might be happening in this time period but also it just feels really offensive somehow to portray the prehistoric people this way idk why just. i don’t really wanna get into how it’s a bad portrayal, exactly, in this ses (if someone wants a more in-depth analysis just ask) but yeah it’s just unpleasant. On the other hand, ayla is cute and bi and that’s good. could be less uncomfortable, but nobody’s perfect

(because even though i’m like several thousand years older than everyone, even the babies are older than me shut up that’s how it works)

they’re just all so cute and so sad and and i need to fix this so bad so everyone’s not all sad

although hopefully a ‘fixed’ future is all sunshine and rainbows and still like includes johnny and stuff and doesn’t become awful in some other way (like i’m slightly worried that remember that one dr who episode where amy pond becomes all old and annoying and then is all i don’t wanna be rewritten by time so i don’t want to rewrite these cute sad people? but yeah it’s just generally better for everyone including them if they are? sorta? time travel has weirrd morality)

i’m so happy to meet FRIND and hang out with this guy forever and go on time travel adventures with this guy

and before i get to the major thing i wanna talk about i’ll mention that i’m getting better at combat? but it’s definitely still a problem that i’m all TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP and then everything goes wrong and i keep forgetting to swipe and target the right person so i’ve gotten the hang of what the strategy i think should be but i’ve not gotten the hang of actually implementing that strategy but i think i’ll get there eventually!

and yeah. marle and lucca i’m gonna cry

just. they’re so Good for each other? they’re like perfect foils and they care about each other so much (considering they just met) and they’re just dorkily flirting just enough? just enough that this can’t be my imagination they have to be doing it on purpose right? the game knows that its setting this up right? please? i really need this to happen it’s just so perfect and wonderful

lucca is such a wonderful person with the whole “you have need of my genius?” like omg i love you and i may wind up taking marle with me but if i do i’m sorry i still love you

(marle if i do wind up going back and fetching lucca i love you too i love you all so much)

bc i didn’t play for that long but the future is so sad! luckily i can change it. also being mean to the chancellor is my new pasttime. And i continue to ship marlucca.

and i’m assuming i woulda been guilty anyway just by a smaller margin? idk but it was just fun seeing how the things i did affected people? and i’m not gonna stop doing things like that but. but i might think about it more in the future? i mean prolly not tbh but still

So who even were those naga like why did they kidnap the queen i don’t really understand why anything was going on there were they under employ of the other kingdom or what? i don’t understand? they were all such huge meanies and didn’t give me any useful information or monologue or anything so i have no idea what or why we did back in the past

Also how long did marle spend in the past before I arrived? like was it a day? three days? a month? i don’t know

i totally ship marle and lucca tho--it’s basically the same ship as undyne/alphys? i mean not the same ship but similar in many ways. i really want it to happen. like, it won’t, but i really want it.
