Vincent Price - Serenade (1956)
what are ur thoughts on serenade? i watched the 2023 nycb recording of it recently and had forgotten just how much giselle is in there.
in no particular order:
Serenade is the neoclassical ballet of all time, this is the one that makes me say "what does that MEAN" out loud at the screen every 20 seconds. there are so many lovely tableaus and phrases throughout this ballet, i could talk about the obvious ones, but tbh if i had to pick out just one favorite moment, it would be this little flip right here:

Character Theme
Comu
[All Songs!]
I'm almost done with my big ol' song commission... I'm (fingers crossed) almost done with my Divemaster course... And after I'm done with all that jazz, I might open up character theme commissions again. We shall see!
In the meantime, have a listen to Comu's theme. It's maybe a little sweet, maybe a little eerie. The clinking near the end is whacking different glasses filled with different levels of water, with a fork lol
@juncodraws & I are developing some ideas about The Sunken Garden-- that's where Comu and Iso are from! I got inspired :)
