El gall longipètal és una orquídia força rara a la Garrotxa. Apareix distribuïda irregularment, en poblacions amb pocs individus, sovint peus únics. Aquesta en un jardí naturalitzat a la Vall de Bianya, salvada del fil de la desbrossadora. A diferència de Serapias lingua, el seu port és més robust, la flor més gran i d'un color vermelló.
