âWhy are you all wet?â
Adam glared back at Elliottâs pleasantly curious expression. Exasperated, and in need of a change of clothes, Adam strode wordlessly past Elliott into the bedroom.
By the time Elliott joined him, Adam had grabbed a towel and was mopping vainly at his hair.
âSomeone thought the appropriate reaction to this-â Adam paused to hold out his arm, showing off the lightly singed cuff and small hole in the fabric. âWas to dump an entire bucket of paint-water over my head! A small hole I could fix, but this?!â Adam growled, gesturing to himself and the splotchy stains of mysterious colors all over his shirt and pants.
âThereâs no way this is washing out.â Adam threw the towel into the hamper and pulled his shirt over his head, holding it out in front of himself to survey the damage.
âDammit...â he pouted, âI liked this shirt...â
