The White House has asked on the occasion of Donald Trump's recent visit to Japan that an American ship named after the late Senator John McCain, which he hated, be kept out of sight of the president, reports Wednesday the Wall Street Journal. "The USS John McCain should not be within sight," asked a US military official in an email before the presidential visit. In repair at the US naval base in Yokosuka, where Donald Trump delivered a speech Tuesday aboard another boat, the ship in question was difficult to move. His name was therefore hidden by a tarpaulin and his sailors were on leave for the day, writes the Wall Street Journal, citing sources close. The tarpaulin was subsequently removed for an indefinite reason and a boat was moved to block the view of the vessel.
