he bites his tongue    &    looks to the floor,        his own pain mingling in the air with hers.      they knew from the moment they married it wasn’t going to be easy,         a jedi    &     a senator falling in love during a galaxy wide war.          but despite the knowledge they both held,         reality turned out to be harder than they expected.       anakin had been home for a grand total of four hours before the council decided to send him back to the outer rim,          destroying any hope of spending time with the one person who made it all worth it.           husband   &   wife had last seen each other in person 2 months prior   &   now with only a few hours together he had to leave again for who knows how long.  

there was absolutely no reason for him to be in coruscant,     the chancellor was still a few months away from enacting his plan      &    vader was needed near the outer rim with his soldiers.            but the former queen of naboo had a power over him he dare not try to dive into.            he’s no doubt palpatine knows of his affections towards senator amidala,             vader’s noticed a gleam of something in his eyes whenever she’s mentioned     &    it sets his teeth on edge.          he wants to gather her up in his cloak     &     shield her from the curious eyes of his master,        take her away from the political battlefield    &    the inevitable downfall of democracy she loves so much.       but palpatine has yet to call him out on his affections,     so in coruscant he stays.
