Idk what your skintone is like, but I’m really pale and the ONLY foundation I’ve found that I like is Korean BB Cream. It’s lightweight and it matches my color and it’s cheaper than most American stuff. Specifically I use a brand called Missha and it’s from BeautynetKorea. It’s a perfectly safe site, it’s just shipping takes a while. So if you struggle with foundation I would look up some swatches and reviews of korean BB Creams. That’s my only big struggle thing.
