Through selfless action, the sage attains fulfillment.
Tao Te Ching, ch.7
No man is to be judged by the mere nature of his duties, but all should be judged by the manner and the spirit in which they perform them. Swami Vivekananda from Karma Yoga: the path of selfless action.
In the field of action desire takes many forms, but the most powerful of all is the vital self's craving or seeking after the fruit of our works. The fruit we covet may be a reward of internal pleasure; it may be the accomplishment of some preferred idea or some cherished will or the satisfaction of the egostic emotions, or else the pride if success of our highest hopes and ambitions. Or or may be an external reward, a recompense entirely material, - wealth, position, honour, victory, good fortune or any other fulfilment of vital or physical desire. But all alike are lures by which egoism holds us. Always these satisfactions delude us with the sense of mastery and the idea of freedom, while really we are harnessed and guided or riden and whipped by some gross or subtle, some noble or ignoble, figure of the blind Desire that drives the world. Therefore the first rule of action laid down by the Gita is to do the work that should be done without any desire for the fruit, niṣkāmakarma. Sri Aurobindo, from The Synthesis of Yoga.
Rick and Morty season 2 finale
Idk about y'all but this episode really put me in my feelings. If there's any Rick and Morty fans, Rick is known to be a selfish super genius scientist that cared mainly about himself, but to me he proved he actually cared about his family when he turned himself into custody for doing illegal revolutionary stuff with the Bird Man. After I saw this episode, I just stared at the t.v after I turned it off and just went to bed. I hope he gets rescued by his family 🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯😫😫😫😫😩😩😩😩

“IN SEARCH OF OUR WONDERFUL WORDS”…The unquenchable thirst.
Given hereunder are a few paragraphs from the book “In Search of Our Wonderful Words”. QUOTE If, by some chance or through sincere efforts, the man is able to make himself relatively free of the cobweb he has woven around him, he may start viewing the world that surrounds him from a correct point of reference. The day when one is able to realize that the world looks different if it is viewed…

Tao Te Ching ( Soul is the Way) by Lao Tzu (Verse 9)
To Keep on filling
is not as good as stopping.
Overfilled, the cupped hands drip,
better to stop pouring.
Sharpen a blade too much
and its edge will soon be lost.
Fill your house with jade and gold
and it brings insecurity.
Puff yourself with honor and pride
and no one can save you from a fall.
Retire when the work is done;
this is…
