Beth and Morty relantionship always fascinated me. How in new episode even thought Morty having Symphatid in his ear he still not able to fully filter reality around him and "best case scenario" his brain is able to create is him taking care of his drunk mother and then she goes to sleep. I wonder what actually happened there did she said or did something cruel to him while drunk?
The fact when both Morty and Summer life is threatend, she without hesitation choose Summer. It might be due to her relating Summer more since shes her firstborn daughter or knowing Rick will take care of Morty but I really like the idea od Beth being simply jelous. Jelous about the fact her son is loved by the same father who abandoned her as child (Not the same Rick but she thaught he was for very long time). Her diffrent treatment of Morty may also be the result of her seeing in Morty parts of herself she don't really like. Violance that Rick encourage in him and she herself repressed because she could partially blame it for her family falling apart or both of them being insecure and full of self-loathing or both lf them scared to be abandoned by Rick.
I think she really does love Morty but she dosn't know how to express that or connect to him in healthy way because she does ocasionally show affection and love towards Morty like when she comfort him after he break up with Planetina.
Btw sorry for my rambling but i really need Beth and Morty centric episode that develop their relantionship. Maybe in next season 🙏
EHEHEEH WIFE
Beth has so many issues and it is FASCINATING because ahebbabebsb does she want to be in Morty's place instead and be Rick's "little helper" but no she's a grown ass adult who knows logically that getting groomed is bad BUT SHE SO DESPERATELY DOES NOT WANT RICK TO EVER LEAVE HER AGAJN THAT SHE'S WILLING TO VIRGIN SACRIFICE HER BABY BOY JUST TO KEEP A GOD WITHIN THE TEMPLE OF HER HOME but she is in a selfcestuous relationship with what is arguably the "Rickest" version of herself and possibly everything she ever idealized and wished she'd be growing up and oh my god Beth Smith Sanchez(?) the woman you are
Beth is so cute, I love her (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)💕

I just caught up on season 9. I cried. I’m happy I did. It was nice to be reminded how much I genuinely love this show. It has become something beautiful and this season is so odd, but in a goofy, progressive, new but mildly nostalgic way? I think Rick and Morty can be honestly be categorized into 4-3 “eras” or “divisions” of the show. Season 1 and 2 have a very similar “vibe” because the show was new and they were slowly growing their fanbase and the foundation of the show and how it would take off. Season 3 is a nice overlap into the taking off and firm establishing of lore and season 4 continues that and begins to break the 4th wall, do nods to the viewers, and honestly begins to capsulate the shows identity as a whole. Main characters personalities have been familiarized, along with side characters and celebrity cameos for quick stories/plots, and it focuses heavily on A and B plot written stories. (Though that writing style is still used in the show I don’t think it is done nearly as often as it used to be, I felt there would be so many times where the B plot was even funnier than the A plot). Basically seasons 3-4 I think is prime Rick and Morty before you reached the point of no return which is the time frame of seasons 5-6 where you literally couldn’t escape Rick and Morty it was EVERYWHERE. Now I still love these seasons, and the episodes I am most fond of are very strong but I think in these seasons they do too many nods to the viewers to the point it becomes too angst and condescending, really stepping into the “meta” aspects. (But do I care? No I miss this show so much and even the episodes that “aren’t my favorites” I still enjoy them) I honestly don’t have much to say about these seasons other than the citadel and evil Morty were the highlights of it, along with for me personally space Beth, I love sapphic horse girls and maybe project a little on to dreaming of a masc/butch space clone of myself finding me and falling in love. There is more to the season it’s just getting late and I still have so many thoughts but I think what makes this season stick out is that its heavily focused on the family and their interactions, obviously when portal travel is reset and evil Morty monologues and fucks off. This changes the next season and after as it settles back into the adventure/fam ratio evening out again. (Season 9 is less family more adventures) Now 7-8 are interesting because it’s post Roiland and right off the bat you have fans excited for the change and fans standing firm against the change, and the new voice actors had very big shoes to fill with their roles that season. Rick Prime and Diane- DIANE (DONT get me started I will schizo post about her eventually) not to mention you can see the growth and change in Rick these seasons, however I think this point is where the characters have become so established and loved that their actions and personalities have started to grow around what the audience has perceived them to be. Basically cannon character vs fannon oversimplified version, and fannon wins and cannon starts to take these traits and slowly become fannon. This I think is so prevalent in season 9 and it took me up until watching this new season to realize it but looking back at the previous 2 seasons it’s definitely been leading up to this point. I see it the most with Morty, I think almost all his maturing and accustoming to Rick and the adventures that had been established over the seasons has been slowly thrown away. Morty specifically this season has truly seemed practically useless to Rick which is so upsetting because it felt like he, though was a nuisance the majority of the time due to moral dilemmas that got in Rick’s works way, started to figure out his part and how to contribute to Rick, less sidekick more partner. I also really like Rick getting back into drinking as heavily because I think it’s going to lead to something bigger but this season so far has been very good. But nonetheless it’s much more mindful than the previous season. It said Iwrotetoomuchandtheservercantsaveitbyefornow
why the fuck is bushworld beth a better mother than canon beth
addiction does really run in that family huh
