Self-Gratification and Dis-ease
The world is changed and so are we. With self-gratification we have everything we want at the drop of a hat. Generally, we're notching up 'things' instead of extending ourselves to help others.
Self-Gratification and Brexit
Indeed, it was through self-gratification that UK politicians got Brexit done, without a disregard of what that meant in the longer term, or how it would impact us in OUR every day lives.
The Impact of Brexit
The decisions that were taken to bring the UK out of the EU 6 years ago, are impacting our every-day lifestyles, our decisions, our mental health. Where mental health is affected it spells dis-ease and that creates disease. Then the global pandemic hit, the world reacted badly. Governments took too long to act, people died and families were left to grieve and pick up the pieces, once again.
The Impact of Covid-19
My twin said the pandemic ‘broke her’ she knew the pandemic impacted her mental health, tipped her over the edge, on how she was able to live her life. It was something she never recovered from. But generally speaking, when it comes to mental health, we're too quick to look the other way. It's something we ignore, because we're either too busy, or because we think it won't affect us, it's usually something someone else deals with.
Ignoring Mental Health
We ignore the issues we need to deal with and sign off with anything to do with mental and emotional wellbeing. But for those who have lost family members to cancer, I can’t stress enough, our need to deal ‘with our mental health.’
Mental Health has taken a knock
Since the UK got Brexit done, I have also seen mental health take a knock through my website stats. If you visit my website, thank you, if you’re not staying on long, because it all seems too much, why not make time to revisit, to just read one or two blogs and then add to your resume, the next time you visit.
My Website
In the early days of setting up my website, a very good friend of mine wrote to me, to let me know he’d spent an hour on the site, just prepping up on some of my blogs, saying my blogs ‘spoke to him.’ I loved that my blogs 'spoke to him.' We have to want to be the change and grab that change. The CP Diary is a good place to start.
Kick-start your 'Mental Health'
Instead, what we're seeing is that where mental health should be a priority, it is less of one. Please let's kick start mental health, feel better about what you deal with, and reduce your chance of disease.
