It's that time of the year... back to back follow up appointments for the 2 months. Today I'm meeting with Dr. Malamud my medical Oncologist. FYI I adore how straight forward he is and he's a sharp dresser too. Lol we have a standing follow up appointment every 3 months to check in a nd make sure my Tamoxifen is doing what it needs to do. Most times when I walk into this building I'm anxious and pretty much in the verge of tears but not when I meet Dr. M and the NP. She's cool AF. Today I will saturate the fuck out of my Social Media to help spread awareness and the need for self examinations. One year ago I found a lump in my left breast and didn't think much of it at first. I always wondered how would I know the difference because I was top heavy and had dense breast tissue. Well I found the lump that started my journey thru a very scary, eye opening and life altering experience. The fact that 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer was and is still bananas to me.
