Don't get me wrong if I heard a birdsong like that, I would feel happy, but, I feel that way about most birdsong? It's nice but, it sounds so indistinct to me. It just sounds, like a bird. Maybe my city slicker arse is too literal, and too overstimulated by the sheer variety of bird song available to be listened to at my leisure (certainly more so than the classical poets could have ever imagined) but if I were to rank my personal top 10 bird artists the Nightingale would not make the list.
