Well, one, that's a flawed view of an statistic that's not nearly as common as you'd think; two, that's a common phenomena spread worldwide by the 70's movie Jaws which kick-started every other monster shark movie, completing the shark fearmongering cycle of hell.
Three! They keep nature balanced by being a predator and like any fucking predator, they're important for population control. Being an apex predator/at the top of the food chain in most ecosystems makes them key to controlling a lot of predator species, even, giving they can occupy tons of places in a food chain/web at once. So if you extinguish a shark species, you guessed it! You've done it fucked up! Natures gonna go fucking bonkers! Fuck you!
Lmao disease headcannons
I thought of these last night
For now I'll call the disease the blood disease
So basically the way you can get this disease is
1.if your born with it
2.being exposed to it (this isn't the case with magpie since the procedure made the disease non contagious)
So basically the disease gives you certain abilities (strength speed etc) but it kills you from the inside
Intense emotional stress can cause it to get worse like thing of a soul (like a heart) heartbreak would be like it cracking
Having kids can also make it worse...
However is magpie does have kids though there is a 9/10 chance that they won't have it

15. Does your clan have a council? An elected group of dragons in power?
Currently, my clan’s just being lead by a singular dragon!
In title, she’s the only one who makes decisions in the clan after she took control of the clan from the old leader. Although in her actual leadership, she runs most decisions by Cairnstone, her second in command, and she has a small circle of dragons she trusts enough with clan information. So no, the clan does not have a democratic process, but nobody in the clan is complaining about it.
24. Do you have any artists within your clan? How do they make a living from their crafts?
And er... I actually don’t believe so? The closest we have to artists are the musicians Ludis and Duet, and they just travel around Sornieth getting donations!
