it makes me so sad how little we know of viktor both pre-retcon and post-retcon (though id argue pre-retcon gave way more to work with)

the fact that all viktor wanted was to be remembered and yet in the aftermath of it all only jayce was remembered as a hero, while viktor's name is scrubbed from history because of his role in s2 and only remembered as being "jayce's partner in science" is so so tragic. even his name is removed from the blueprints of the hexgates/hextech tower.

and the fact that they tried to do the same to heimerdinger is crazy. pilties are a different breed of petty that man has been alive for 300+ years and part of the council for who knows how long and even he is subject to that kind of disrespect from the council

#theres also a short story where a little girl comes to jayce to ask for his help to fix her toy #and he just goes “why would i do that” and sees the girl realise he's an asshole in real time #and his only thought to that was “disappointed? get in line”#and then viktor proceeded to launch a “surprise” attack on him #all while jayce monologues out loud about how predictable viktor is and the girl is staring at him like he's insane #he helps make a metal umbrella to keep her safe from the fight and then proceeds to fix her toy for her anyways in the end #bc she sassed him back for being an ass and getting injured and he thought it was amusing #jayce giopara was very tony stark-inspired and i just thought that was very funny considering his title is inspired by superman #sef rambles
