Four weeks ago I quit the job I hated. Friday was my last day.  Yesterday I flew back home and had late lunch with my family before sleeping for twelve hours straight.  I woke up at 5.30 a.m. this morning and watched Bob Ross draw a tree on TV. I experienced a state of mind so peaceful that even Buddhist monks envy me.

Dear 2020, Thanks for teaching me to be okay with sitting still. Thanks for also teaching me patience, resiliency, and adaptability. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to do the things that I said I wanted to do but didn’t have time.
