I was just wondering what you meant by these two bullet points "If you are light skin Latino you donāt have to prove it."/"If you are a light skin Latino it is automatically assumed that you speak Spanish." (that you aren't indigenous or ..of a not hispanic ethnicity?) I want to understand it so thank you for anything you explain!
Because people think that latino = light skin so anyone who isn't light skin has to "prove" that they are latino because of having dark skin.
Long story short, if you are a light skin latino you're automatically allowed to be a part of your culture if you're dark skin, you're not, you have to "prove" yourself because there's no way in hell there would ever be a dark skin latino, right?Ā
