Planted my seeds and put them near a sunny window on my kitchen bench- 14 varieties of tomatoes, , red and Greek basil, fennel, eggplant, Lebanese zucchini, Italian zucchini,squash, cucumber, watermelon, endive, romanesco, mini capsicums, red peppers. Then there will be those that will be planted out straight in the garden including peas, potatoes, pumpkins, carrots, beetroot- 3 varieties. There’s already asparagus and pepinos, rhubarb and chamomile, parsley, tarragon, Greek oregano, thyme , rosemary ,raspberries, strawberries and blueberries, grapes and passion fruit Then there’s all the fruit trees and citrus trees. Trying to be self sufficient to a degree. Homegrown is the best, have you planted anything? No space? How about some herb pots on a windowsill? Want an apple or peach tree but don’t have a lot of room- try a columnar variety. There’s so much you can do. As a young girl going on holidays there was a woman who had 2 oil tins which she had tomatoes planted in and they sat just outside her caravan annexe door.
