"You're the only smart crewmate left! Honestly I should have killed you first."

Purple forced themselves to chuckle, they sweated, "No offense to Red, but that's not saying much." They backed further to the wall. "Maybe not, but.. I'm right aren't I? You are smart. Annoyingly smart, but not smart enough to figure me out before it was too late." Purple fumbled for the button, trying to buy themselves time, "Its not too late yet though, is it? I mean, what's the point in killing us anyways? Wh-Why not just... I don't know, wait it out in here... With the... Ore.... You can't possibly want to kill us that bad, i mean, what do you even get from it? Its not like you're eating th—" Green laughs and tentacles slide from underneath them. They rise higher and higher, "I like killing. I thought that was obvious. What do I get from keeping you alive, is a much better question?" A tentacle hooks Purple's leg, lifting them into the air, dangling helplessly. Shit. They have to think of something, fast. They have to stall at least, and muttering 'um' won't hold their attention forever. What do they even have that the alien couldn't just take after killing them? The meat in the freezer? No. The... Captains hat? No! Red's navigation skills? ...Who are they kidding, they don't need that. All their ideas just felt silly and worthless, until..! It was stupid and still very silly, but mostly stupid. There was no way it would work, but as the tentacle tightened, it was their last hope.

"Uhh... A kiss?" —It still sounded stupid, even after they said it.

The murderous alien froze, their stolen body gone flush, bashfully. "Ah... wait seriously?" No fucking way that actually worked. The tentacles and mounds of flesh slunk back into their suit, Purple hit the floor hard. "I... I don't know why but that actually sounds... Really nice." They touched their face softly as if to hide their blush and they turned away. Purple got to their feet, dumbfounded. Why- how. An-And they're being all cute about it! Like they weren't just trying to kill me! Purple cleared their throat, "Yea-Yep! You- we- I- Uh... Do you want to... Do that?" Were their palms sweating out of terror, or were they genuinely nervous about a distraction kiss? "Gosh, you're so forward!" Green giggled. Seriously? Seriously, this is actually happening? Purple gulped and got closer, "Well... sometimes you have to be to get what you want." What does that even mean??? What am I saying??? They both leaned in slow, the seconds in between lasting an eternity. Purple dreaded a worst case scenario where they end up faceless like Blue. They believed wholeheartedly this stupid plan could be a death sentence. I'll see you soon Heracles. God, stupid plan! Idiot, idiot!! And then, finally,

Clink!

Their visors tapped each other's, and thus, a kiss. Purple was... Conflicted. It wasn't good but... it wasn't bad either... Just... Weird. A neutral weird. The kind of weird that just makes you think about it more than anything else. Conflicting.

"Great Caesar's worm farm-!" Green muttered, louder than necessary. They don't have to pretend to be Green... Is- Is that just actually something they say? Legitimately? Do— But suddenly, their nice moment was cut short.

"CAPTAI— Uh... I came on the one liner queue but... I'm not actually entirely sure what's happening." Green groaned and rose out again into the monstrosity they truly were, "Ugh, of course. I completely forgot about you. Thanks for the kiss, but I think it's time you both died now." Red blinked at their fellow crewmate, "Wait- kiss? Purps, did you-?"

Purple flushed, "Not right now, first, we kill the stupid imposter!"
