I’m not much of a TrustCam shipper either, but I can see some appeal in it? Kinda similar to Camtain of Person who hates Mira x someone who sucks up to Mira. But Orange leans more into being a suck-up, and has the similar role as Purple in a way - Look out for everyone’s safety (Pretty sure that’s what HR does at least, I’ve not had to interact with that branch at work). But unlike Purple, they don’t really do that, at least from what we’ve seen in the show, which is kinda an interesting contrast. Their focus is more on the Ore+\eggs, making sure they’re alright
Idk. I can see imp!orange wanting purple as a partner because they see them as protective and valuing that, since it seems like a good trait? Or crew!Orange admiring purple’s morals and dedication, if only being slightly annoyed when they get distracted or violate policy. I’m not sure what interest purple would have in orange. I could think of reasons, but that’s more my hcs than show canon

Okay, okay, I can see the vision here. I like the idea that Orange and Purple do both value safety, it's just that Orange values the safety of the company and Purple values the safety of, well, people.
I like to think Orange would acknowledge Purple as a good Captain, at least? Like, they'd be responsible, competent, and at least do the paperwork. They def have Purple's file and their blacklisted status there, as well as their documents that would have been forwarded to the Colony Management Division had Purple not been outcasted by MIRA. There might be that confusion, bcos why was a promising employee who could have been on track for a good career just. Waste all of that?
But yeah, Purple's interest in Orange would have me stumped. Bcos it seems like Purple hates what Orange stands for. I do think Purple can at least acknowledge what Orange is. A person who let the company consume them. Just like Red.
