10. Sense of humor

Ernest is the most personable of the brothers, and likewise has the best sense of humor. He is warm and friendly, and his jokes normally land somewhere around “cheeky.” Ern does a lot of things to amuse himself, such as knocking on doors of people having sex, or messing with the bellhops by sending them on a chase for a bucket of liquid steam, etc.

41. Handwriting.

the reverse au is my favorite!!! its where all the roles are switched, where all the firestarters are firefighters and firefighters are firestarters. so count olaf’s troupe is desperately trying to keep the baudelaire children out of their enemies seemingly king and noble clutches, but they’re all a mess. 

the baudelaires at first think the troupe is evil because they’re staying with their parent’s friends, and their parents are wonderful! but as they journey progresses and they learn more and more about their history, the baudelaire children are forced to face the truth about their parent’s actions and the legacy they uphold. 

19. A memory of someone they don’t see anymore

“B, pass me the twine.” Ernest held his hand out, pinching it open and close like an IMPATIENT CRUSTACEAN. This was a very important macramé, and its completion had to be just so. One wrong knot and the entire mission would unravel at their feet. 

Despite his first request, there was no twine in his hands, nor cable, or cord. Ernest pinched faster, and his mood took a turn towards CRABBY. “I said, hand me the twine, B.”

“B?” The silence was deafening. 

Ernest whipped around, meeting his apprehended associate eye-to-eye. At some moment during his macrame making, a malevolent marauder murked his amigo. His associate’s hands were tied up, their mouth stuffed with the ball of twine like a gag.
