tête-à -tête
It would have been a day like any other if it wasn't for a certain slip of paper (spoiler alert: a letter!), carefully written in Braille so as to make sure its recipient had the knowledge and ability to decipher it, laying upon Light Field's desk:
Dear Light, How are you? This is how you're supposed to begin a letter to a friend, is it not? Psh. I prefer cutting right to the chase... And since I've already broken tons of social norms, what could keep me from doing so? As I already declared, I am a friend. Truly. I am grateful for what you did for my brother back in the day. If I wanted to do you or your sister any harm, I would have already done so when I had my chance. I haven't -- to the contrary, I feel sorry for the psychological trauma I had to put you through. It was important. I am sure you would not have hesitated had it been your sister. Now I know you must be fairly confused, but at the same time I am convinced you will have figured out who I am quicker than I can say wow-this-letter-is-so-eloquent.You're a bright one (yes, that was a pun!). In any event, if you feel like chatting (probably not) or asking questions or anything at all that may or may not demand my presence, this is your chance. There's something I wish to speak with you about as well. It's not important, don't fret. Meet me at 'The Busy Bean' on Friday at noon if you wish. I hope you like coffee! Amicably, A.K. PS: Please don't tell anyone about this if it's possible. Clover if you must (or anyone else if that makes you feel safer). Not Junpei. You must not tell him under any circumstances. I can only ask you to do this. Please.
