@myownlittlebookcorner April Shelf-Confidence Book Photo Challenge April 17: Fixer Upper
Iâm still in the process of rereading ASOIAF, but some would argue that my second hand, scribbled, annotated, broken copies are fixer uppers (and maybe Westeros could use some fixing too, like, yâall OK over there?) (No, the answer is no)
i love secondhand books.

A trip to Alnwick:
I went to Northumberland recently and I visited Alnwick castle. If you didnât already know that was where the first two Harry Potter movies were shot, (parts of them), and we even did a movie tour there where we learnt about the locations of certain scenes! Namely the first flying lesson scene and the scene where Wood teachers Harry how to play quidditch.
Here are some pics of the castle below that I took:
I also went to Barter Books, an bookshop in Alnwick with half a million second hand books! It was literally book heaven. Iâm pretty sure the bookshop was created in the abandoned train station.
(This picture has a random person in it)
(If you look closely you can see a moving train going along the tops of the bookshelves!)
âI do love secondhand books that open to the page some previous owner read oftenest.â
