The old sparrow did not turn his head, nor did he start, nor did he show any sign at all of having heard the fox sparrow speak. As the young bird raised his crest and opened his bill to repeat his taunt, he was silenced by a quiet, icily indifferent voice. I was going to write a short funny caption but as I’m looking at this picture I just can’t help but feel blessed. Antonio has shown me what unconditional love is. I’ve always been on the cold side, and to some the very, very cold side. And with him he really brings out the warmth I have inside me. He’s shown me how to be a better person.
