Fallen Chapter Six (novel)
by Aetherias Moon Cover by Melyn-L-Kit I awoke to a soft violet light pouring in through a window. It seemed to cling to the cluttered furniture wrapping the circular room I found myself in. I laid surrounded by pillows on a thin bed, warmth rested to my left. I twisted into the heat, my cool body craving the warmth. Feathers tickled my face, and I buried into them. The scent of lilac filled my…
I do think one of the things that makes me like the Magi-Nation cartoon better than a lot of second world fantasy media is that after everything is said and done, Tony makes the choice to stay in the fantasy world full of monsters and magi with the friends he made instead of staying on Earth to live a normal human life.
And especially the fact that it's a *choice*. He's not stuck there in the Moonlands, he can go home at any point after everything. He wants to be in a world where he's a hero, saved the world, has a bunch of cool friends, has magic powers, and doesn't have to face the American? Canadian? school system.
Just there's so much second-world fiction where the protag has to go back to their original world or doesn't want to stay in the magical world even tho it's better than what they left. Or in the opposite direction with a lot of isekai stuff recently folks are just stuck in the magical world with no choice.
Shout out to the Magi-Nation cartoon. Props to you.

Here, have a Snippet from Project Cannibalism that is almost fully just world building
Rakani escaped the temple district with attracting any more attention, breathless as they approached the rope bridge that connected peak to peak. The city of Kalama was carved into the the side of a mountain ridge, with the richest clans, the temple, and the finest markets taking the land on its six major peaks, connected by a network of bridges. Rakani paused before they crossed the bridge to the Market Peak, where they could safely descend. The view from up here was always took their breath away. They could see the white ridge of the Salt Spine extend into the distance, from the peak where the temple had been carved into, down along the mountain range that cradled the valley below, where the clanlands were. Sometimes, when the day was perfectly clear, Rakani could spot the faraway glimmer of the sea past the mountain peaks. As it was, it was too foggy today. Today, the view was the city, which fell away underneath them. The oldest buildings were carved into the face of the rock itself. You could always tell which clans had been in Kalama the longest because their main holds were in carved stone rather than masonry or wood. It wasn’t often that Rakani ascended to the highest levels of the city. It was too damn exhausting. If Immar Upe hadn’t stiffed them, they probably wouldn’t have bothered but it did mean they’d savor the view. When Rakani was young, one of the alchemical engineers had come up with a moving platform that could take someone up to the temple level without exhausting themselves, but it was slow to move, there was always an enormous line, and it hadn’t been implemented widely enough in the poorer districts. From here Rakani could even see one moving down, slowly, a group of people dressed in Daseri whites descending one down to the aristo level. Rakani had heard that they were anointing a new priest today. That was probably the celebration party. Rakani would sneak over when they could- events like these always meant wild amounts of gifts given, just to show off, and when it was the Daseri, it was always extravagant. The clan of the Priest Queen couldn’t lose face when it came to something like that. Their clan hold was a goddamned temple carved entirely out of salt.

These are not to be confused with medieval themed occupations, this one is a list of hobbies your characters might enjoy on free time.  “But, Cheyanne,” You say, “Medieval people lived in a primitive time and did not have free time.”  Well, according to this article, the average American works more hours than a medieval peasant ever did.
