Movie!David:

TW: PTSD related mental health issues

~I think, compared to the musical David, he is a much older vampire. Turned some time in the early 1850s at the end of the Industrial Revolution. He moved to California during the gold rush and that is how he met Max.

~He served in the First World War thinking it would be, one an easy way to get distance from Max, and two an all you can eat buffet.

~He did not serve in WWII because of what he saw in WWI. (Very rarely but even in the 80s he experiences Shell Shock-PTSD-and none of the other guys know that’s what it is, they just think he is snapping at them for being annoying.)

~David and Max were on great terms for about 50+ years when it was just David. But through the years as David wanted to become his own person/vampire the relationship strained. It got worse with each addition of the pack. (Max thought it would bring David closer but it did the opposite.)

~David reads the newspaper almost every evening before bed. Everyone makes fun of him for it and calls him an old man.

~David HATES water. (I can’t fully remember if the movie vamps can’t touch any water or moving water but David especially hates it)

~Vampire powers don’t start presenting until after 25-30 years, so he’s had a long time to practice his mind games and hallucinations. (He has often made his prey experience hours of horrors and torment before getting bored and eating them)

~David faked trench foot to get out of the war, and that is how he got his wheelchair.

~Marko, similar to Michael, has a mix of Max and his blood and that is why they are the closest. David makes sure to still have one on one nights with the other two to make sure they don’t feel discarded.

~David is the reason they are ride motorcycles and is the best mechanic out of all of them. When Paul gets a flat tire and somehow dents the rim, David is the one fixing it for him. He also taught all the guys how to ride their motorcycles.

~David moved into the cave, after Marko was turned, as an FU to Max after a huge fight as the old hotel was Max’s.

~David, on the rare occasion that he gets undressed/changed, still folds his clothes like he did in the army.

~Thorn growls at David because he once accidentally stepped on his paw in 1953 and is still not over it. (David refuses to apologize claiming Thorn intentionally moved it there at the last second)

Musical!David:

TW: mentions of abuse and suicide

~Do I really gotta do him Ali seems to be doing an a-ok job at doing so… (I’ll recap on a couple things of Ali’s but add extra stuff of my own)

~David was born in the late 1890s and joined the war because that’s what he felt was the right thing to do. He was lost, hated his hometown, and loathed his parents. The Great War was the perfect escape. Until it wasn’t.

~David met Max after he returned home and started working at his iron factory. Something about David’s strong work ethic-and lack of family-really drew Max in.

~David keeps not only every key to every home/apartment he’s lived at, but he also steals the house keys off his victims and keeps them in a huge glass vase. (At the very very bottom are the half’s of dozens of dog tags)

~David got the idea to start a band in the early to mid 70s. After he met and had Max turn Dwayne the idea became a plan. (Max hated that plan)

~David had a good relationship with Max until the 50-60s when he really started down the rabbit hole of the nuclear family. (Lucy was not the first woman Max tried to bring in as David’s mother, nor was Star the first girl he tried to make into David’s sister)

~David refuses to talk to Max at all unless absolutely necessary by the time of the musical after he said some racist ass shit to Paul’s face. (The three guys had never seen David beat up as badly as he was when he got home that night)

~David is the number one stealer of someone else’s idea and saying it louder to take the credit.

~He loves black and white films, and when Marko learned of it, started taking David to every drive-in theater showing them. (David nearly cried at the sentiment but will never tell Marko that)

~David sends Dwayne out to scope out the crowd for the perfect post gig snack. (He’s the only one David trusts to find the right group for the pack with the least amount of draw back)

~David let’s Marko bleach his hair, but will punish him by having Dwayne do it if Marko is getting on his nerves.

~The girl Max turned in the 60s, that was meant to be David’s sister, ODed when she discovered what she was, and this is what draws David to Star in the 80s.
