Internet Inqalaab!
In the past I have received a lot of calls and texts from my friends and family asking me to delete a particular post or go easy on social media as they feared that I might get arrested due to my updates. It always made wonder how can someone else decide what I should think or what I would sa. For instance, something against BJP might offend a person who is pro BJP but won't offend a person who is pro Congress. Similarly, something about Ramayana will offend a Hindu but not a Muslim. On saying that, in a democratic country which has a vast diversity in terms of caste, region, religion, political parties etc it gives us very little scope to express ourselves. This gives us a very thin line between freedom of speech and being offensive. In such a scenario, it is very important to use social media as a platform to let the public voice out their opinion. With the recent decision of the Supreme Court to strike of the Section 66A, it looks like a majority of the Indians particularly general public are delighted. It was sad to see people being arrested on posting a status on social media on contrary to calling ourselves a democratic nation. Thanks to SC for giving the freedom to people for voicing their option. However, we must have few exceptions like defamation, hate speeches by our beloved politicians most of the times. It's ultimately the victory of social media specifically the public. Internet Inqalaab. ✊
Got a new superpower, FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
Free is a word that attracts everyone’s attention. Free speech has got nothing to do with any offer but it is a very basic fundamental right for a citizen. India is a big country with vast population where everyone have their own opinions and views about any thing. It might be political views, religious views, technological views so on and so forth.
Freedom of Speech prevails on Internet! Good news for Digital India

Only personal responsibility should limit free speech; not laws or government.

Section 66A of Indian IT Act
reads thus """ Section 66A (sending offensive messages) of the IT Act provides for a three-year jail term for a wide range of offences from sending messages of a “menacing character” to “causing annoyance or inconvenience”. """ whatever happened to freedom of expression ? the right-wingers keep blabbering on every forum about the "right to offend" But what explains http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324352004578134501748357228.html or this http://forbesindia.com/article/special/bal-thackerays-fractured-legacy/34151/0
