@sjipsco aldhsdjsf okay youāre so rightālegit the first time i asked abt these books at a barnes & noble way back when, the store clerk looked at me like i had made up the entire series lmao & i really didnāt even know season of storms existed till like 3 months ago cause iām apparently a fake fan lol
@seainspace see i got the first 7 books from a local bookstore but they donāt have any copies of season of storms ;-; (at least the last time i checked, anyway) & iām also too impatient to wait until the weekend to go out & see if theyāve finally restocked....
seainspace replied to your post: what is the quickest way to become familiar with...
Fastest would be a wiki dive in the legends section. But there is. A lot.
i did that for hours last night and all i learned was that jango fett had a very tragic life
dancing queens~~

It has to be one of those ridiculous huge ones with like 15 loops. And made of glass is it crashes dramatically when he throws it to the ground.
Okay but consider one of those silly straws that go around glasses. His is attached to sunglasses so when he throws his wine glass down he also whips off his unnecessary sunglasses in a dramatic fashion.Ā
@seainspace replied to your post āiāmā¦so confused at kananās training methods? i thought jedi were all...ā
actually he's hella jedi-ish because he's trying to get Sabine to release her feelings, not stamp them down and repress them like she has been doing. he's not sure how to do that cause he's concerned that she's gonna get hurt which is why he doesn't want her to train with the saber, but that in turn let her avoid her emotions even more and solely focus on training. with Hera's reminder he realises where he went wrong with the training and forces sabine to face herself.
the jedi mightĀ say they want emotions to be released, but pretty much everything they do in practice is repression? ignore the feelings until they go away. (or, well, go anakin.) and granted this is legends, but iāve definitely read books where the main message wasĀ āif you fight with anger youāve already lostā which sabine demonstrably did the exact opposite of. so idk, what kanan ended up doing seems pretty much in direct contradiction to ~ideal jedi~, but tbh i like the scenes more for it. (just not kanan being a dick)
seainspace replied to your post : Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā i keep seeing graphics and meta about the female... Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Ā Ā Story wise it does focus on the Jedi but thankfully thereās a lack of toxic masculinity and such. Hera and Sabine do play big parts tho in the majority of the episodes, there are a few focused mainly from one of thems perspective as well. Plus thereās a lot of women hanging around in the universe compared to other Star Wars works, especially in positions of power. Plus the entire human crew is poc so thatās a big plus as well. Ā Ā
@seainspace (atting u so u can see this reply :P)
first a question: āit focuses on the jediā? in context w/ what i said (is it focused more on the guys), does that mean only the guys are jedi?
second, thanks for the info. I like to know what Iām getting into.
glad to hear that it has more representation than other parts of star wars, gender and race wise.
EDIT: Missed reply part 2

Ā Ā But honestly Hera is amazing. Sheās worth everything. Sabine is great as well, it will be interesting to see where Filoni is going with the next few episodes. Ā Ā
okay this is cool to know ^_^ iāve never seen the show, but i have seen people reblog hera and sabine stuff, and i do want to know a lot more about their characters!
