“I don’t tell you all my secrets, sir.” And that’s all Gyro is going to say on the magic front at the moment.
"Gyro, if you ever were to try and reassure someone without making things sound even more mildly horrifying and concerning, I think they would spontaneously combust."

"Would yer birthday be the day that you were gestating in a tube or would it be the day that you were taken out of the tube-"
miserly day.
I managed to find the Christmas decorations!
.....well, the ones Rip didn't throw out.

Tonight at work, I had a guest who was English.
Me: May I just have a name?
Guest: Sure, Ahndee (
Me: Sahndee? (I am also pretty much deaf on a busy night in a loud restaurant )
Guest: No. Ahn. Dee.
Me: Andy?
Guest: Yes, I forgot I needed to pronounce my name Annnnnn- dee for you people.
Me: I'm sorry sir, it's a little loud, and I am pretty much deaf. -chuckles awkwardly-
Guest: It is okay, I just say my name correctly, unlike Americans using most of the english language. You're just not used to hearing it that way.
Me: Oh I'm sorry, I think it's just how loud it is, and maybe because you have an accent. (-starts to speak in an English accent-) If you'd like, I can speak like this for the remainder of the evening. I'll even pronounce your name correctly if it makes you feel better.
Guest: ...
Me: (Still using an accent) Your cheesecake will be ready in just a moment. I'll call your name like this when it's ready.
I also had inform a woman who specifically asked for extra Tamarind CASHEW sauce, that she could not serve it to someone with a severe nut allergy.
I should be fired for the amount of times I laugh in people's faces thinking they are kidding with their requests.
