In what medium did the egos experience that conversation?
We have some possibly conflicting information:
- We see this as a Discord conversation
- Chase can’t see
- Jackie knows people are watching
- JJ’s ellipses
Which leaves us with two main possibilities:
- They experience it as a Discord conversation, and Chase is using technology or another person to help him. This also suggests that JJ could have spoken, but was too confused/inexperienced to be able to type in time.
- They are having a verbal conversation. This would mean that JJ’s ellipses represent actual silence, perhaps suggesting some off-screen sign language/speech slides (which Chase would miss). It raises the question of how Jackie knee we were watching. Can he “see” a representation of us? Is it a spidey sense sort of power?
Regardless, “Jack” is still experiencing a Discord conversation. My next theory post will touch on what’s up with Jack and what the egos are so worried about.
