Fang had a brown bottle of hydrogen peroxide and some cotton swabs sitting on Joe’s desk that she would reach for from time to time as she worked on the torn up Nyx.
She shook her head, “You know I was just playin’ when I dared you to punch the bag bare handed…could have broken it…” She shook her head thinknig this girl was either crazy, stupid, or both. Luckily though it appears Nyx had only split the skin in a few places, though it now appears rather red, cut up, and would probably swell. Fang had managed to pull her away from that bag before she could do any worse, though it hadn’t been easy. She had to practically tackle her down to the ground with what little grappling she knew and secure the girl’s hands til she cried Uncle! Damn she would make a good fighter if she gave it half the chance, least that was Fang’s opinion.
Joe began to head towards his office, before being stopped by a lean figure with dark hair and calculating eyes, Bruce. Joe cast a glance towards his office and gave a nod, before heading over.
Fang felt Nyx stand and glared at the girl. Still having a hold of her hand she pinched it rather hard between finger and thumb making sure to dig into a pressure point, and giving it a rough tug. “I wasn’t finish, sit your ass back down, jeez!”
Joe closed the door behind him rather calmly though he made a instinctive utterance, “Fang language.” Fang looked to him with some annoyance but didn’t bother trying to explain. Joe could probably figure it out himself as he looked to the two girls, surveying the situation and what Nyx had said. The wound wasn’t too bad, but it was certainly bad enough to piss off a parent. Great, that would be fun, not. He scratched the back of his head before going to clear a spot on his desk and sit on it sense they were using the seats.
Alright, well, while Fang is finishing that up why don’t we talk about it. What happened at school today?” He wasn’t worried about the papers right now, the damage was already done, apparently his lawyer had seen it. As for Nyx’s parents, well he’d deal with that later too, he would have to. Now though was a time to see what was troubling this kid.
❝ Ouch, Fang! ❞ The kid turned towards the other girl again as her hand was yanked, pinched and she was cursed at. She glared at her, barely keeping herself from slapping her forehead to put some sense into that silly head. Not only did she ruin her good time at the punching bag (of course she had everything under control!), she just had to make her look like an idiot in front of Joe, didn't she?
Nyx was still partly upset for their first meeting, for the way she'd been reacting to the man's words. As if he were able to touch some of her dangerously sore points. And now there he was again, and she'd been behaving like a child, she'd been caught doing something wrong, just like a child.
She glanced at the door, then back at her new friend, or whatever Fang was to her. There was no way she'd get out of that office easily, was there? A sigh escaped her lips as she resignedly took a seat again, pressing her lips in annoyance as Fang went back to handling her scratches. True, she'd been practically asking for it, but it stung and she definitely was not in the mood. Especially now.
❝ Nothing major. Just...an idiot giving too much air to his mouth. ❞ Of course the idiot had been the math teacher. He had mocked her about her errors in front of the whole class and, not at all happy with what she'd answered back, he'd even been able to bring her father into it. He should've taught you better than to snap at your teachers. He had no idea what Nyx could've done to him in that particular moment if she didn't know better. ❝ Fang? Are you done yet? It stings. ❞
