Scooby-Doo has been around for 48 wonderful years! Happy Bday to the Scooby gang! 🎂

I celebrate this wonderful occasion with an ~50 item Scooby Haul from my trip! I will do some individual photos later.

This is exactly what I knew would come out of this.

Stubborn Scooby fans skipping this series because they didnt like the art style. Which, shouldnt have to be pointed out, is a SMALL PART of a show. Not giving a chance to the animation, writting, voiceing, and the rest of the show.

And while I know some of them actively wanted this to happen, let me tell you why its not a good thing, Scooby is a long standing franchise, it continued because of interest. Thats what keeps franchises going. A series ending relatively early in its lifespan isnt good. It shows a lack of interest, and it wont be attributed to us disliking the art style. Companies dont work like that. Theyll think its Scooby not being a good market anymore. Old scooby fans are too sour to change.

And what about other people? Non Scooby fans? If they see Scooby fans dissing a series are they really going to give it a try? This is the series I have shown most to non Scooby fans, and they LOVED IT. Went off and watched it alone, shared it with others and asked me when there would be more. And Im not talking 1 or 2 people. I mean upwards of 20 to 30+ people in the umbrella that have ended up seeing the show because of me.

Let me be clear in saying I know the show isnt perfect, I dont really love the art style, but the rest of the show totally outweighs that. The humor is sooooo good. The mysteries are good and interesting. It has old concepts and new concepts and tips its hat to the old series.

Now I wanna mention its ok to not like something. But I mean that to people who sat with an open mind and watched at least 5 episodes of the series. The ones who gave it a fighting chance. Not ones who watched clips and clucked their tongue, not ones who watched the first episode already seething with hate and any small thing just "proved their point"

It 100% deserved a fighting chance. A chance sour Scooby FANS didnt even want to GIVE IT.

A series cant be the same forever. Things have to change. You don’t have to love it all. And I will never say that, because criticism is important, and even I don’t love everything Scooby that has ever been put out. But there has to be some realization that anything that gives life to this franchise we LOVE deserves some kind of credit and support.

It makes it worse that this was such a good series too, in a mass of movies that have been, to me, such low quality.

It breaks my heart that with this series I saw Scooby fans OUTWARDLY TRYING TO DESTROY IT. That’s insanity. “Disrespectful to classic fans” as if you're some special gift, and speak for us all. I hope in the future the fandom can at least try to keep some kind of level head. That kind of stuff is something I hope to never see from our community again. Especially people insulting OTHER FANS for enjoying the series.
